Emergency medical providers teach in Vietnam

Imagine being seriously injured in a country without 911, ambulance service or even an emergency room.

Six medical providers from Craig didn’t have to imagine such a scenario when they traveled to Vietnam this spring to teach emergency medicine.

“I expected more impoverished areas. There’s a crazy dichotomy. In some areas you’d see skyscrapers and crazy malls with fancy labels, and then down the street you’d see street food stalls,” said Brooke Cape, Memorial Regional Health Emergency Department nurse.
