A man suffering stab wounds drove himself to a now defunct hospital emergency ward in North York before he died of his wounds early Sunday morning.
Police were called to the Humber River Urgent Care Centre at Finch Ave. W. and Highway 400 at around 3 a.m. where they found a bleeding man in his 20s in the parking lot.
According to police, the victim drove himself to the hospital, but the emergency ward at the facility had been closed for over a year. The hospital at 2111 Finch Ave. W. is now only open Monday to Friday where it provides services such as CT and MRIs.
