Baptist Health unveils new telemedicine service

Baptist Health, South Florida’s largest health care organization with seven hospitals in Miami-Dade County and eight clinics in western Broward, is introducing a telemedicine service that will enable patients to consult physicians via computers, tablets and smartphones.

Called Care On Demand, the services will be available 24/7 for non-emergency issues such as mild asthma, minor headaches, sprains, nausea, vomiting, sore throat, minor allergic reactions, ear and sinus pain, eye infections and flu symptoms, according to a Baptist Health news release.
