From Houston Public Media:
Various projects are underway to study the problem and fix it, and now Houston will have a central role. The federal government has chosen Texas Children’s Hospitaland Baylor College of Medicine to co-host a new center to improve emergency treatment of children. The two institutions have been awarded a four-year, $6 million federal grant to establish The Emergency Medical Services for Children Innovation and Improvement Center. The Center will function as a national think tank, bringing together all the available research on the best ways to treat pediatric emergency patients, and making recommendations to policy makers.
