State Health Commisisoner approves HCA Virginia’s New Kent free-standing emergency center request

From the Times-Dispatch:

HCA Virginia has won state approval to locate an MRI machine and a CT scanner at a free-standing emergency center proposed for New Kent, a decision counter to a staff recommendation that said the region had enough of the machines already.

State Health Commissioner Marissa Levine approved the New Kent project and similar requests for imaging technology from Bon Secours Richmond Health System and Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center. But Levine denied two of the three requests from VCU.
