T-System, Inc. today announced its purchase of Marina Medical Billing Service, a leading emergency room medical coding/billing company based in Cerritos, Calif. The deal follows T-System’s previous acquisitions of Clinical Coding Solutions and Practice Management Associates and signifies the company’s expanding revenue cycle management solution offerings.
Marina Medical has provided emergency department (ED) physician coding and billing services for 30 years and now serves more than 110 facilities, representing 1,800 physicians in 13 states. T-System is the industry’s leading provider of clinical, business and IT solutions for emergency medicine, with approximately 40 percent of U.S. hospitals using its solutions. Following this third acquisition, T-System will serve more than 1,900 client sites among 50 states.
