From the Napa Valley Register:
Public and private agencies are teaming up to install automatic external heart defibrillators in public places around Napa County.
These high-tech devices can help victims of cardiac arrest to survive without neurological damage, said Capt. Conrad Perez, the emergency services captain for the Napa Fire Department.
The Fire Department, Queen of the Valley Medical Center and the American Heart Association are working together to put the defibrillators in such places as schools, churches and other venues where large numbers of people gather.
… the players hope to raise funds to install 10 to 15 devices in public areas this year, she said. Their goal is to have 150 in place within three years.
