The crash is right below the summit at the Pikes Peak Highway and near the Cog Railway.
Search and Rescue says four people are injured, and a medical helicopter is unable to get to the victims at the summit. The pilot is in critical condition, but all victims are stable. Crews are trying to bring the victims down to Cyrstal Creek Reservoir to meet the medical helicopter.
The helicopter that was filming the “driverless car” tests for VW/Audi crashed on the peak just after 7 a.m. They were flying an Aerospatiale helicopter.
