H1N1 suspected in death of MN hospital administrator

The 54-year-old administrator of Waseca (Minn.) Medical Center has died after being diagnosed with the H1N1 virus, or “swine flu.” However, an official cause of death has not been determined.

According to a news release, Mike Milbrath died Saturday night at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato, Minn. Milbrath joined Waseca, a critical-access hospital, as administrator in December 1995. He helped guide the organization to an affiliation with Immanuel St. Joseph’s and the Mayo Health System, Rochester, Minn.
